Are there any software that fixes my internet connection when its down?

Hi, I am having trouble connecting to the internet sometimes when i log on to my msn messenger and can not connect i press the troubleshoot button, the only one that has an error sign is the “DNS” one, while this is down i cannot connect to the internet on all my browsers i usually need to reset my modem and router several times to fix this. Is there any way to fix this through a software or even type in command prompts in the cmd window? Thanks in advance.

If powercycling your modem & router resolves the issue,then how will any software fix this issue?
I suggest you contact the folks who provided you these devices (you ISP?) & get replacements.
